Medical Foundation
The Science Behind The Treatment
The skin is cleansed, degreased with acetone swabs, and the peel solution is applied systematically using a fan brush or cotton gauze, starting from the forehead down. The patient experiences tingling and mild burning that peaks within 60 seconds and then reduces. The peel is left on for 2–5 minutes based on depth of concern and patient tolerance. Frosting (whitening) of the skin indicates deeper peel action and is monitored. The neutralising solution is applied, the skin is rinsed, and a calming mask or moisturiser is applied. Post-peel, a 10-minute blue LED session may be added for enhanced anti-acne effect. Skin will appear mildly flushed for 24 hours, followed by fine peeling on days 2–5 that reveals clearer skin underneath.

Pre-Treatment Steps
- • Avoid active retinoids and harsh exfoliants 3 days prior
- • Inform doctor of any active cold sores or medication
- • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin
Post-Treatment Guidelines
- • Do not pick or assist peeling — allow natural desquamation over 3–5 days.
- • Avoid all exfoliants, scrubs, AHA/BHA products, and retinoids for 7 days post-peel.
- • Apply prescribed calming cream and SPF 50+ sunscreen from day 1.
- • Use only gentle, pH-balanced face wash for 1 week post-peel.
- • Avoid swimming (chlorine) for 5 days post-peel.
- • No facials or dermabrasion for 3 weeks following a medical peel.
- • Take prescribed antibiotic or anti-inflammatory medication as directed on the days surrounding the peel.
