Medical Foundation
The Science Behind The Treatment
Topical numbing cream is applied under occlusion for 60 minutes. The fractional CO2 handpiece is calibrated at the appropriate density and energy for the patient's scar type and skin tone. The handpiece is systematically passed over the scar areas. Multiple passes at different densities may be used — a high-density first pass for deeper scar treatment, followed by a lower-density second pass for overall texture smoothing. Immediately after the CO2 treatment, exosome solution is applied topically across all treated areas. The patient will experience moderate redness and warmth. Over the following 48–72 hours, the skin develops a bronzed appearance (microscopic tissue coagulation). Peeling occurs naturally over days 4–7, revealing smoother, clearer skin.

Pre-Treatment Steps
- • Avoid active retinoids and harsh exfoliants 3 days prior
- • Inform doctor of any active cold sores or medication
- • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin
Post-Treatment Guidelines
- • Apply petrolatum ointment (Aquaphor) to all treated areas every 2–3 hours for 5 days — the most critical aftercare instruction.
- • Cool water rinses only for the first 3 days — no hot water, no facial scrubbing.
- • Do not pick or peel bronzed skin — allow natural shedding.
- • Strict sun avoidance for 2 weeks; SPF 50+ from day 8.
- • No makeup for 7 days minimum.
- • Take prescribed antiviral and antibiotic cover as directed.
- • Attend day 3 and day 7 review appointments at the clinic.
